Broken URL rewrite when using "View by Day" option

I have the exact problem described in this post: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/page-not-found-after-refresh-page-on-view-as-day/

That is, when viewing the calendar, if I select the “View by Day” option, then select a new date from the datepicker, the URL rewrite breaks the URL by removing the “calendar” portion.

In other words, some.domain.com/calendar/today because some.domain.com/2015-02-31 (or some other date). It appears to happen for any date selected.

I tried all the things suggested by the responder in the aforementioned thread, but the problem persists. Not sure what else to do at this point.

Thanks for bearing with our slower responses over the holidays. We are back at capacity now and catching up.

That is interesting. Permalinks can be a bit fickle, because there are numerous ways in which other plugins can accidentally manipulate them. Even simply changing the order can have a bad effect. Could you try following this guide? While you should follow it in order, I think that once you get to the the Less Common Solutions > Conflict test you might find something. But the first heading might reveal an issue to. In particular, what happens if you change your permalink setting temporarily? Perhaps to anything but your current setting or Default.
