Broken Color Category URL in Documentation

Where does the page exist for explaining how to color code categories?

Good catch! That’s an out-dated documentation page for the 2.X version of the plugin, and we’ll update the readme to point to the current documentation. If you’re looking to add some color to your Event Categories, then take a look at this plugin: http://wordpress.org/plugins/the-events-calendar-category-colors/
