breadcrumbs for 3.1+

Hi, I saw the genesis breadcrumb tutorial but I’ve also spotted that this is no longer working.

Has anyone managed to find a breadcrumb plugin that they have managed to integrate with Events Calendar 3.1+?

I was after showing and organising the events within the specific categories ie:
Challenge events / Cycling events / London to Paris

Challenge events being a category and cycling event being a child, then London Paris the name of the event.

If anyone has any pointer or anything that would be great, I can see where the extra filters and code needs to be added from the Genesis tutorial but I think the naming has changed so I’m unable to make the required effect.

Hi Wonky,

Unfortunately we can’t help a great deal with customizations like this … especially as many people have a different opinion as to how breadcrumbs might be structured so there’s no real one-size-fits-all here.

Also, unfortunately, I’m not aware of any plugins you can add that will drop in, integrate with our plugin and Genesis and achieve the desired effect. That said, if you do hit on a solution that fits your needs definitely do feel free to share it with the community 🙂

Hi, ok well I could use the script from the tutorial but looking through the forum people say that it no longer works on 3.1!! do you know if there will be any script I can reference to at all because I can understand the original tutorial but I can’t work out what needs changing.

I’m not sure I see this tutorial on our current tutorials list – so it may be one of those which are left in place only as a convenience to the community and indeed if this is the tutorial you are referring to you can see we’ve marked it as being applicable to 2.x builds only.

At this time I’m afraid we’d need to leave it to you to figure out the solution – though hopefully, despite not being directly applicable to 3.x builds, that tutorial can serve as a good starting point.
