Hi there,

I am interested in using the calendar to book vehicles and meeting rooms for my staff but am unsure it can do all the things I need it to. I’ve listed below the functionality I could not be sure of:

– The calendars will only be viewable by staff when they are logged into the site – i’m assuming this isn’t an issue
– Would people be able to book recurring bookings(events)?
– Each vehicle and room are only available during set time periods, can we block staff from booking during those off hours?

Thanks for reaching out to us!

These are some great questions. Out of the box, our plugin isn’t really equipped to be a booking system. You could set it up to get the functionality you would like but it would require some work beyond what is available by default within our settings.

To answer your questions directly though:

1. You can control this with other access control plugins. There isn’t a setting within our plugin to block the calendars from non logged-in users.
2. Users can book recurring events. They can do this using the PRO plugin within the backend of the site or with the Community and PRO plugins via the front-end of the site utilizing the front-end form available within the Community Events plugin.
3. This would require additional customization beyond what is available by default within our plugin settings.
