ParticipantHi,
I’m having issues with my photos in the “photo” view. They appear very blurry on larger screens.
They looked fine on my 13″ laptop, but when I view them on a larger screen (such as a 27″ monitor) they are very blurry. They look fine within the event details.
I’ve used large images at 300 dpi. Do you have any suggestions on how I can correct this? Thanks for your help.

MemberHi Macy
Great to hear from you! Welcome to the forums!
Excellent question. 72 dpi is actually perfect resolution and will help keep your file sizes down (faster page load – BONUS!).
What I would suggest you to try is to double the size of the image itself. For example, the image here – it’s size is 357 x 238 – try creating the same image, but start with a 600 x 400 canvas. When you upload, the photo will naturally scale down to 300 x 200. By creating your photo image at 600 x 400 – photo view will automatically scale to the correct smaller size and pack more pixels in, which will help with image quality on higher resolution screens.
Did this help answer your question? If not, feel free to always reach out. That’s what we’re here for! 🙂
Have an excellent rest of your day!

ParticipantHi Jeff,
Thanks for getting back with me! I still seem to be running into an issue.
I resized to 600 x 400 at 72 dpi. You can see the attached screenshot from my media library indicating the image size is 600 x 400. However, I’m still getting a blurry image. Any idea what I’m missing?
Thanks for your help!

MemberHi Macy!
I believe I have an idea on where the issue might be stemming from. It took me a few minutes of literally staring at different versions of the image as I was scratching my head as well. 🙂
An idea to try out here – If you look VERY closely on the main 600×400 image version. You can see around the white lettering of the green banner overlay that there is partial pixalation going on. So what my thoughts are on this is that when the image is then shrank down and resized, that pixalation increases to where it’s more noticeable.
Can you tell me – is that green banner with white text being imported as a separate image or is it being added onto the photo via an editor such as Photoshop (e.g. you bring the photo into Photoshop, add a green layer, then add your text OR are you bringing in the photo, then bringing in an already designed green banner with the text)? If it’s being imported over the image, that could very well explain why there is some pixalation occurring.
When you have a chance, please let me know how that end image was created and we can dive into it more together. Or if that helps solve it, please let me know as well!
Have a great day!
Jeff
