ParticipantHi,
I seem to be having an issue with viewing individual events. When I click on the event in the calendar (eg. there are 2 in Jan 2015), the page is blank. How can I resolve this?
Thanks!November 7, 2014 at 6:52 am #866816Barry
MemberHi – I’m sorry you’re experiencing difficulties.
- Can you confirm if you were able to run through our standard troubleshooting steps (or do so now) and let me know if that helps/allows you to identify any conflicts?
- The URL you provided when you opened this thread does not seem to work, can you confirm – by private reply if you prefer – what the correct URL should be so I can see the problem first hand?
Thanks!

ParticipantYes, I’ve run through the trouble-shooting steps. The URL for the calendar is:
http://techkids-dev.themeatspace.com/events/
I’ve setup an event for Nov 20. Once you click on the test event, the page becomes blank and the ticket details do not appear.
Any ideas?

MemberSo despite the page appearing blank, most or all of the expected HTML is actually being sent to the page: unfortunately it’s been hidden and it looks like your theme intentionally hides all of the content until it has completed loading
The problem here is a type error: something is tripping up Javascript execution so although the HTML has been sent to the browser the final piece of work to make it all visible isn’t running.
Yes, I’ve run through the trouble-shooting steps.
Awesome, thanks for giving that a try.
So I can see your theme is responsible for hiding the content before it has finished loading and hopefully therefore you discovered that this was not a problem with a default theme such as Twenty Thirteen.
What I don’t know is if the conflict is restricted to your theme or if some other plugin might be impacting. Can you confirm the results of your troubleshooting and if you haven’t already done so, can you leave your current theme activated and try deactivating all other plugins except for our own?
Let me know how you get on!

ParticipantThanks Barry. I’ve contacted the author of the theme and he has asked if you know why the error has occurred ; I’m trying to work out if it’s the theme, plugin or Event Calendar that’s causing the issue.
I have disabled a plugin that came with the theme; pixgridder pro. The page seems to rectify itself and becomes visible when I do this. What do you make of it?

ParticipantHere’s what the author had to say:
“Hi, the plugin developer maybe didn’t notice that the Javascript execution is blocked because of a javascript error created by the plugin itself.
I don’t want to say that the plugin is the only culprit, maybe the theme is missing something that the plugin requires, but it should be helpful if the plugin author clarified the reason of that particular error. Here is a pic of the error https://s3.amazonaws.com/diigo/2418517_237897288_15889442?AWSAccessKeyId=0R7FMW7AXRVCYMAPTPR2&Expires=1415927062&Signature=9m8qtz0rMQnxBfOqt0u4bkNH6hk%3DPlease let me know. Manuel :-)”

MemberHi there!
Indeed we did notice the type error (see my note from Nov 10), but I don’t believe at this stage that the problem is our plugin itself – particularly as you noted the issue is resolved when you deactivate pixgridder pro.
Are you able to continue without that particular plugin/use an alternative?

MemberHi! It’s been a while so I’m going to go ahead and close this thread. If we can help with anything else, though, please don’t hesitate to create new threads as needed. Thanks!
