ParticipantIt’s the second time the I report the same identical issue and after the latest update The Events Calendar Version 4.2.7 The Events Calendar PRO 4.2.6 Event Tickets/ Event Tickets Plus 4.2.7.
I’d like to know if it is a joke or what… I have already poted here https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/i-cant-translate-tribe-tickets-remaining/#post-1160191 the critical issue You recognised that and after the update the same issue. I don’t understand what happen. To make the things clear I have uploaded for example two different files of languages (italian and french) and You know what? THE ARE COMPLETELY DIFFERENT??!!! (the italian file is partial modified by me) Damn’it!!! How do You think people could work like that?? We have not time to spend to start a “treasure hunt”! Everytime …every single time after an update all the fix in the languages goes away ..and You didn’t fix NOTHING. Another CRAZY example in the attachement of what happen.
As You can see there are words like “Attendee” DOESN’T CHANGE and I have looked EVERYWHERE, changed the file .po (the-events-calendar-it_IT.po) the relative translation of “Attendee %d” but nothing changed.
Sorry for the outburst but we are really exhausted.
Please help us
Thank You very much
Best regards

MemberGood afternoon Alessandro and welcome back!
Thank you for writing back.
I am very sorry things did not go smoothly in regards to your translation files while updating the plugin.
You are correct, we did improve our translation files content in the last release.
It is not impossible that there might be a few glitches in there (which we are very interested in finding out and we apologize for). For one thing, although the .pot file was updated, it turns out that the Italian translation file for Event Tickets Plus and the Events Calendar were not. I’ll make sure I open a ticket to make this process more robust in the future.
Here’s a copy of all the latest versions of the Italian language files: https://www.dropbox.com/s/xqrxixbaijbdjnw/Italian.zip?dl=0
Normally, these are also available here whenever something like this happens: http://translations.theeventscalendar.com/projectsFinally, there is also the option of simply updating the language files using the .pot file.
Here’s a tutorial on that topic if you are curious about this: http://support.themecatcher.net/quform-wordpress/guides/translating/updating-a-translation-fileOne last thing, if you are using the /wp-content/languages/ to store your language files, please note that these do not get updated automatically when you upgrade the plugins.
You will have to update these manually from the .pot file every time.
Let me know how that goes.

KeymasterHey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
Thanks so much!
