ParticipantHey there,
Is there some sort of feature that allows user to invite other users (most likely their friends, if we’re using buddypress)? Something that allows them to “Attend”, “Maybe” or “Decline” the invitations (a facebook-like feature). And a way to sync these activities with the buddypress activity?
People would then be able to see who’s attending, maybe coming or declined. Hosts could send a message to members (all members, only attending, maybe, declined, etc.)
The ultimate goal would be to add a social layer to the events, to trigger a new Status when someone create an event, is attending to an event, bought a ticket (should be already managed by woocommerce), etc.
Also, is it possible for a user to subscribe (via buddypress notifications and/or e-mail alert) to a specific venue, location or category? Example, the user would receive a notification (“One event has been submitted in your area”) and an e-mail when an new event is created matching the user parameters.
These two features would really improve the reach and use of TEC, TEC Pro and Community Events.

MemberHi Bastien,
Right now it would really be a matter of sourcing suitable third party plugins (if there are any that can help you to achieve these goals) and/or building what you need by yourself, as the sort of tools you need are not currently a part of our plugins.
Those are definitely some interesting ideas though and I’d encourage you to post them on our UserVoice page where others can also comment and potentially show their support.
Thanks!

ParticipantThank you for your answer Barry,
I’ve submitted some of them in already existing topics about buddypress integration and event synchronization/subscription

MemberExcellent, thanks Bastien. I’ll go ahead and close this thread as I don’t think there is much else we can offer at this point in time, but of course if you have any further questions please don’t hesitate to create a new thread or threads as needed.
Thanks!
