Barcode instead of QR

Hi,

Is it possible to set the Tickets Plus module to output barcodes instead of QR-codes, as my scanners won’t read QR?

Thanks for reaching out. This is unfortunately not possible with our plugins out-of-the-box, and would require many code customizations to implement 🙁

So to implement the features you describe, you would have to write that custom code or hire a professional developer to do it for you. Actually, that’s not entirely the truth.

It could quite easily be solved by including a barcode font (eg. EAN-13), and simply outputting the ticket ID using this font. Just a little tip – others might find it useful.

Thanks for sharing that, Troels! Implementing a custom font is indeed something would require a good deal of custom coding, but as you mention, it may work well if implemented correctly.
