    Hi,

Is there a way to bulk load in or display the general UK bank holidays without having to put them in individually every year?

    Many thanks,

    Laura

    Hey Laura!

At this time there is no such feature, and the holidays would have to be manually added. 🙁

The closest thing you can do is to find an iCal feed or CSV file out there on the Internet with all of the bank holiday dates and names…then, you can use the “import” features of The Events Calendar to import CSV files and have those events auto-created. If the file is an iCal feed, then The Events Calendar alone would not be enough and you would need to use the premium iCal Importer plugin to import those events.

I don’t know of any specific reputable sources for this sort of information, but a quick Google search led to me quite a few different results. Here is a page with a downloadable CSV of bank holidays, for example, seemingly a mix of US and UK holidays? → http://www.bluesock.com/bank_holidays_csv.php

I hope this information is helpful!

Thank you, the only problem i’m having is i’m inputting the date as: DD/MM/YYY but it’s flipping it for example:

    29/08/2016 changes to 16/08/2029

I’ve changed the display setting for “Datepicker Date Format” to DD/MM/YYY (e.g. 15/01/2016) but it’s still not working, any ideas?

Ahh ignore me! I’ve managed to flip the date in the CSV file so it reads 2016/08/29.

    Thank you for your help!

    Laura 🙂

Excellent news, Laura! Thanks for sharing.

I’ll close this thread for now, but please open a new thread any time if other issues or questions arise.

    Sincerely,
