Available Venues do not show the event, but My Venues Do?

Hello,

I’m using the Events Calendar PRO Version 3.10.1 and I’ve been having trouble getting events to show in the upcoming events list.

It turns out that if you select a venue from “My Venues”, the event displays, while selecting a venue from “Available Venues” causes the event to NOT display.

I have read your support forum and tried the following:

Changing the name/permalink of the venue
Looking at a “My Venue” and an “Available Venue” side-by-side to see any difference and their aren’t any.

I’m not even sure how a venue listed in the “Available Venues” section becomes “My Venues”.

I’m not sure about what you are referring two here. Where are selecting that venue? In the Back-end?

I’ve checked out the URLs you shared and I see that event is not present in the list. Also noticed your theme is customizing a bit how events are displayed. Can you try to see if this also happens with default WordPress theme?

I still don’t know why this happened, but here’s what I did to fix it. I think it has something to do with the permalink.

1) I created a new venue with the same name. which has a different permalink, but the exact same details.
2) I was able to select it from the “My Venues” section.
3) The event now shows up.

Here’s the two different sections from the Venues dropdown. They are in the same list, only separated.

Hi Sean,

Thanks for the follow-up, and sorry for my confusion on this… it was pretty obvious 😛

My Venues: venues created by you. Available Venues: venues created by other WordPress users.

While the venues show up in different lists they should behave the same. Can you check if there are other users in the WordPress Admin? Maybe those venues belong to a deleted user or something not usual?

Please let me know about that and I’ll try to clarify the unexpected behavior,
