ParticipantAfter testing for conflicts with both the theme and plugins, the only way that I can see the events page or single event pages is through “ugly” permalinks. I am new to php so it is possible that I did not insert the code in correctly at that step. I would like to have “pretty” permalinks going forward.

ParticipantHey James,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
That’s definitely a strange issue since the plugin should work better with Pretty Permalinks set rather than the default ugly permalinks. Based on this, my first assumption would be that there is competition for the “events” and “event” slugs causing the events not to display and give a 404 error.
Out of curiosity, does the issue persist if you rename those slugs to something like “calendar” (https://cloudup.com/cF_jaMc__5e) within your event settings? You need to re-save the permalinks after making this change.
Let me know if this makes a difference?
Thanks!

ParticipantThank you for your quick response. I am still having the issue. I changed the slugs to calendars and calendar respectively. Then I went back and re-saved the permalinks to be “pretty”. I am receiving a notice that says:

ParticipantI am able to still access the page with the slug: /?post_type=tribe_events

ParticipantHey James,
Out of curiosity, are you able to see posts from other post types (or of a page) when your permalinks are set to pretty permalinks or does this issue only exist for events?
Also, when following the Testing for Conflicts procedures and disabling all the other plugins, did you have pretty permalinks set when you were reactivating them one by one?
Thanks!

ParticipantSo currently I have deactivated all of my plugins and have switched to theme twenty thirteen. I am still having the issue of “pretty” permalinks not working. It appears to be not working on all pages/posts. I think my issue is deeper than the plugin. Any suggestions?

ParticipantHey James,
At this point I would reach out to your hosting provider. There could be a configuration issue on their end that is preventing the permalinks from working as expected.
Let me know if this helps.
Thanks!
