    Hello,
    not know why but I inadvertently automatically download and publish events and I have the settings set to be published.

    How do I enter in the “Import events from Facebook” and pozaznaczam events not added and I press the button “Import Events” then adds but why wanna do this from a vending machine?

    I have also:

    Hi itpromotion,

    I’m not quite sure what you are asking. Do you want to add events from a Facebook page to your WordPress site automatically? Or do you just want to import one event, one time?

    Do you want to add events from a Facebook page to your WordPress site automatically?

    YES 🙂

    OK, the best way to do that is to go to the Events > Settings screen and click on the Facebook tab. You’ll need to get a Facebook App ID and App Secret from Facebook (there are links on the screen that you can click to get these). Then add the event ID or Facebook Organization or Page name that you want to fetch events from. I’ll suggest that you select the Import Frequency of Daily further down the page and you should be getting events brought in from Facebook to your WordPress Events Calendar automatically then.

    There are videos, along with text if that is easier for you, that show this process over at https://theeventscalendar.com/support/documentation/facebook-importer-new-user-primer/

    Does that make sense?

    We have had some troubles with the hourly import. If you change it to daily does it work any better?

    Hey again itpromotion,

    Can you share a link to your site and to the Facebook event that you are trying to import? I’d like to try to see if I can duplicate the problem here.

    Hello itpromotion,

    Looking at your list of sites (and I didn’t check them all) I think what’s happening is that Facebook is blocking the ability to import the events. They consider them “adult content” and the APIs don’t work then. There’s nothing we can do about it since it’s something that Facebook controls.

    Does that make sense?

    And if we can somehow get around this?

    I don’t know of any way of getting around it. Facebook can be quite arbitrary about their API.

    Reluctance to import events because fanpage club has indicated that his site may be republished information, including the promotion of liquor. By which as you type eg

    http://www.facebook.com/CaptainMorganMacedonia
    like this:
    https://graph.facebook.com/CaptainMorganMacedonia
    it only returns an error.

    “{
        “error”: {
           “message”: “Unsupported get request.”
           “type”: “GraphMethodException”
           “code”: 100
        }
    } ”

    There are also inadvertently downloaded a script events. But there is a way to get rid of it because this party ftb_pl also retrieves events from the facebook fanpage and also containing the content of alcohol.

    Can you solve the problem and here?

    ======================

    Niechce importować wydarzeń ponieważ fanpage klubu ma zaznaczone że na jego stronie mogą być publikowane informacje zawierające promocję alkocholu. Przez co jak wpiszemy np.

    http://www.facebook.com/CaptainMorganMacedonia
    like this:
    https://graph.facebook.com/CaptainMorganMacedonia
    it only returns an error.

    “{
    “error”: {
    “message”: “Unsupported get request.”,
    “type”: “GraphMethodException”,
    “code”: 100
    }
    }”

    Dla tego też skrypt niechce pobrać wydarzeń. Jest jednak jakiś sposób aby to ominąć gdyż strona ta ftb_pl również pobiera wydarzenia z facebooka i również z fanpage zawierających treść z alkoholem.

    Czy możecie rozwiązać problem również tutaj w skrypcie?

    Hello again,

    No, I don’t think we’re going to be able to do anything about that. The message about it being an “unsupported get request” is accurate. Facebook is not allowing that event to be imported. It is considered an “adult event” and therefore blocked from importing.

    I’m sorry, but there’s nothing we can do about Facebook’s rules.
