Automated way to communicate with attendees

Another one for you 🙂

Our client wants to be able to send the attendee data (name, email would be the minimum but would like to have all fields if possible etc) to either MailChimp, or Follow up Email (WooCommerce add on) automatically once they register for an event.

At the moment they can use Follow Up Email, but it will only send an email to the person who placed the order, NOT the attendees registered within the order.

They’d like to be able to send emails post ticket purchase to all attendees (e.g. “here’s some materials you might like to bring along” etc) , and want to automate this process where possible.

At the moment each time they get a new attendee they have to manually add this person to MailChimp, send the email etc. They are using the plugin for events that have 2000+ attendees, so you can imagine this is going to get a bit tiresome 😉

Any advice or add-ons in the works for MailChimp etc?

Thanks for reaching out to us, and let me say you raise an interesting point here. I don’t think this is achievable without some custom code, maybe the easiest workaround is to export a list of all attendees emails + names in csv format and import that CSV to Mailchimp (or similar) to bulk update them.

Do you think that might work for your client?
