    Hello,

I’m wondering about a feature in the Pro version, the ability to automatically delete events which have past. Other than the list of features in the Pro upgrade, and a post to the support forums (https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/auto-deleting-events/) I haven’t been able to locate any detailed information on this feature and would like to know more prior to purchasing.

What I need to be able to do is have events delete after XX minutes past the start time. So an event that starts at 10am would delete at 10:30 am. (Actually, what I would prefer is for the Day View to list only current and future events, and have events that are older than 30 minutes not be included in the list, but that doesn’t seem possible).

Could you provide more details about how Clear Up Reoccurring Events works? Can I define any parameters regarding how old an event should be for it to clear?

    Thanks!

    Hi Rob,

Thanks for getting in touch to learn more about this setting. Here is a screenshot showing you what the setting looks like on the backend of a site running Events Calendar PRO. As you can see, the setting is only designed to work on Recurring Events, and the time is measured in months. You can change that to be shorter than the default (say, after an event is 1 month past) but it is not designed to work in minute or even day increments.

If you want to get rid of any expired events and do it faster, I think your best option will be The Events Calendar Housekeeper, a free third-party plugin made on the side by one of our developers. You can set various expiration times and may even be able to customize it to meet your exact needs.

Please let me know if I can answer any other questions for you.

    Best,

    Leah
