"Author" or byline showing up on some pages

There is a byline showing up on some pages and I cannot figure out where or how to get rid of it. At one time we had a default set to “community member” but this page and several like it are showing a byline that shouldn’t exist. Where do I get rid of it?

Can you point me to where you are seeing this byline? I’m not seeing it on the page that you linked to.

Also, can you try switching to a default WordPress theme, like ‘Twentyseventeen’, and see if the byline is still there?

I cannot change/am not willing to change the theme. I am not a developer and do not want to risk messing up the site.

Hi Liz,

Thanks for providing me with that information.

Can you perhaps be more specific about what information you would not like to appear on that page?

Another option would be for you to install the third-party plugin, Health Check, which can mimic a bare WordPress install while your site visitors still see your site the way that it normally appears.
