ParticipantI am starting to build out my summer calendar again this year and an issue I had last year and now this year is that I am unable to view the “attendees list”. When viewing the date and list I can see that all of my tickets are sold but no attendees appear.
I am also using the pro version with woocommerce tickets. When doing the calendar originally I used recurring events feature to save on time but when it comes to the actual tickets I have to go back in and create each ticket through woocommerce which breaks each event out of its recurring series. Is this why I can’t view an attendees list because they are all being put on the original created event?
Thanks

MemberHi there oraboard101! Welcome back to the forums. 🙂
It does indeed sound as though recurring events is the source here. Tickets are unable to be sold individually through recurring events. Instead, a ticket purchased in one recurring instance is purchased for the recurring series as a whole.
Are you able to view the attendee list for the parent event in the recurring series? That is where the attendees should be recorded.
Cheers!

ParticipantThanks Geoff, so I went back in and looked at the parent events and they also do not have the attendee list. When you configure wootickets into the event doesn’t it break it out of “recurring events” anyway?
Also, all of the attendees lists will say this something like this:
tickets sold:8
finalized: 0
awaiting review:8Maybe this is why I can’t view the attendees because they haven’t been finalized? If so, how do I finalize them?
Thanks

MemberHey oraboard101–thanks for following up!
Have the orders for the tickets been completed in WooCommerce? The attendees should display once the order has processed, been completed and the ticket has been sent out. WooTickets won’t break the series into individual events, but you should be able to see the attendee list will on the first event in the series.
To complete an order, go into WooCommerce, select the order and and change the status of it to complete.
Give that a shot and let me know if it helps. 🙂
Cheers!

ParticipantThanks for the quick reply Geoff. So I did go into woocommerce and it does say that ALL of my orders from last year are still processing even though payment has already been received through my paypal gateway. If I do mark these orders as complete are all of these people going to receive a ticket in an email? That would be a nightmare as these are orders from last year!

MemberHi oraboard101!
Yes, that is the case. Tickets are only emailed to a customer once the order has been processed.
The only thing I can think of in this case is to disable the wp_mail() hook from the site, completing the orders, then re-enabling it. There is a plugin that helps with this. I do want to note that I haven’t tested it personally, but it might be something worth looking into.
Cheers!

ParticipantThanks for the great suggestion on stopping emails. That worked beautifully. So now that I have all my tickets processed I can actually go into specific dates from last year and see all the attendees for that date and time. Does this mean that by first creating the event on “recurring series” then going back through with woocommerce tickets that it does in fact break that event out of the series?
It would seem that that is the case but I wanted to check with you first as you seem to be suggesting that it wouldn’t.
Thanks,

MemberAwesome, I’m glad that helped!

If you edit an individual event within a recurring series without editing the entire series then, yes, that will break the event out of the series. Otherwise, all events will stay together intact. 🙂
Cheers!
