ParticipantRecently had a customer who has apparently entered no data into the attendee information. Since 90% of those fields were required, we were curious as to how it could happen and we’ve discovered two ways.
The first is that if you increase the quantity of a ticket in the cart, it doesn’t add any attendee information to the extra tickets. This was a simple fix – we just removed quantity changing from the cart.
The second is that if you log out and log in on another machine (or otherwise lose your session information), it doesn’t seem to retain the attendee information you entered when you added the ticket on the first machine. This rather means that persistent carts are not usable at present.
Is there any way the second issue can be resolved so that attendee data is preserved with the persistent cart?

Thanks for reaching out! I’m sorry you are having an issue with this. Let me try to help you out.
Of the first issue we are aware, currently what you did (disabling quantity change) is the best solution.
The second issue: I have managed to recreate it. Please give me some time to check around if there is a solution.

I checked with the team and it seems that currently there is no solution for that.
However, it is something that should be fixed, so I’m going to open a ticket for that internally, so it might come in an upcoming release.
I cannot commit to a time when it will be ready as it needs to be developed, tested, approved, so it will take some time.I’m again sorry for this issue, but hopefully the fix will be done soon.

Just wanted to share with you that a new maintenance release (for the Week of 1st May 2017) is out, including a fix for this issue 🙂
Now attendee meta is saved alongside the WooCommerce cart session instead of just relaying on cookies. Hopefully this prevents issues with empty attendee information in the attendees report!
