When I am on the admin screen, plugins page and on the Updates page, I get this error at the top of the page–
Warning: Attempt to assign property of non-object in /home2/leonardc/public_html/wp-content/plugins/events-calendar-pro/vendor/pue-client/lib/pue_plugin_update_engine.class.php on line 689

It lists this for lines 689-693

Also when I added a (different) plugin, it pops that up and makes it look like I got a fatal error, but I back out of it and all is fine. The front end of the site seems to be working OK.
With Events Calendar Free -only- activated, it doesn’t happen. When I activate Events Calendar PRO only (all other plungs are deactivated) it happens.
I also have Community Events and the version of that is 3.4.0.
    Thanks!

    Hmm, that’s strange.

Turning off the display of errors (though they can be useful when setting up and troubleshooting) will probably remedy this as although PHP is correctly issuing a warning there may be no other real operational impact.

Besides that, thanks for trying out our regular troubleshooting steps of deactivating other plugins and switching to a default theme. Did that make any difference at all? I ask primarily because on occasion we do hit conflicts with other plugins that also use PUE, a library embedded in Events Calendar PRO (and each may be a different version).

No, the deactivating plugins and using default theme didn’t change anything.
    Thanks for the quick response

OK – I’ve no doubt you’re experiencing a valid issue but it unfortunately is not one I can replicate. Can you try some troubleshooting steps that are, in a sense, the reverse of what you have already attempted:

    • Within the same hosting environment please install a fresh copy of WordPress in a subdirectory
    • At this stage install nothing but the latest versions of the three plugins you already mentioned (The Events Calendar, Events Calendar PRO, Community Events)
    • Set WP_DEBUG to TRUE in wp-config.php
    • Try to replicate

Do you experience the same thing under these conditions?

I’ll go ahead and close this thread as it’s been a while without any follow-up … but if we can help with anything else please don’t hesitate to create a new thread. Thanks!
