    Greetings,

I have been using Events Calendar and happy to purchase the Pro version to accomplish a formatting task. I need to copy info from a word doc and/or PDF each month and paste this info into the text area of the events editor. When i do this, all formatting is messed up on the posted webpage.

I have tried several formatting plug-ins to fix this and nothing has worked. I ended up using a Table program using a shortcode to format the agenda tables and this requires some degree of work to fill in each table and add reference links.

Is there a way to build a formatting WSYWIG table within events that would work easier? I would pay for a solution that works.

    Thanks,
    Larry

    Hi Larry

Unfortunately, “Paste from Word” has been a long standing issue for WordPress, and most any other HTML editor. In the past few years, a lot of progress has been made to fix the issue – see https://wptavern.com/wordpress-3-9-has-built-in-support-for-pasting-from-microsoft-word. However, most formatting of text, layouts with tabs, spaces, and tables can all still be a problem.

A table plugin that is mobile-responsive sounds like your best method. I really wish this process were easier.

Is there anything else I can do to help you?

    Thanks
    Courtney 🙂
