    I’m following up on post referenced below. I’m receiving the same issue on using (wp-json/tribe/events/v1/events/by-slug/test-via-api):
    {
    “code”: “rest_forbidden”,
    “message”: “Sorry, you are not allowed to do that.”,
    “data”: {
    “status”: 401
    }
    }
    My question is: Is the because I need the PRO edition to perform a creation? If not, can you give further details on what I need in REST header? I’ve looked at link below, but it is not much help on basic API auth. And yes, I’ve looked at wp basic auth, but still cannot resolve issue.

    Hey there and thanks for getting in touch!

    We’d be happy to help — but I do want to note that our pre-sales forum is used to answer questions about purchasing our premium plugins.

    If you’re looking for technical support, it would be awesome if you could post your question to our WordPress.org support forum.

    In regards to having a premium license, it’s not needed to use the REST API.

    Thanks so much!

    Hey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.

    Thanks so much!
