ParticipantWe were hoping that we could display things like titles and descriptions a little differently on our wordpress site without effecting the EventBrite listing. i wish it was just a one-way street where we were just GETTING info from EventBrite, not SENDING it back. any way to do that?

MemberHi Jessie,
Thanks for getting in touch–I also appreciate the way you’ve broken your questions up into separate threads. Thanks a ton!
Once an event has been imported from Eventbrite to WordPress, there is the option to disconnect the event from Evenbrite and manage it directly in WordPress without affecting it in Eventbrite. That said, the event will be completely disconnected at that points, including the any one-way streets one direction or the other.
I think what you’re asking for is definitely interesting. If you have a chance, it would be great to see it suggested on our new features forum. From there, others can vote on it and we can do some background research on whether that sort of one-way communication would be possible to build with the Eventbrite API.
Cheers!

ParticipantIf I disconnect it from eventbrite in the way you are saying already exists (where is that?) will it still show the ticket purchase information and things related to eventbrite or does it disconnect that information too?
I added it to the feature request, I hope I worded it right!

MemberExcellent question! The tickets will be disconnected as well and will no longer display on the front end–it’s kind of like tearing the event apart from the Eventbrite API completely so no communication happens at all.
That setting is in the event editor, just above the option to display tickets (screenshot).
Thanks so much for the feature request! I know our team is looking new possibilities now that the Eventbrite API has been recently updated and suggestions like this one help a ton.

MemberHi Jessie,
This thread has been quiet for a couple of weeks, so I’m going to go ahead and close it out. I know you have a few other threads open and I’m hoping those get resolves as well, but please feel free to hit us up with a new thread if you still have specific questions related to this one and we’d be happy to help. 🙂
Cheers!
