ParticipantHaving a strange issue that I can’t tell is by design or a bug.
I’m running Events Calendar and Community Events.
When I’m logged in and go to my Add page, I’m able to create a new venue using the “Use New Venue.” All good.
When I’m an anonymous user, I’m able to see the event form and select from existing venues (and organizers), but unable to add new ones. I can tell by inspecting the HTML that the fields exist, they’re just hidden and I don’t have the “Use New Venue” select option to trigger their appearance.
Is there an option I’m missing? Do I need the Pro extension?

MemberHi Jeramey,
Our apologies for the inconvenience firstly.
It looks like a legitimate bug to me and I’ll get it logged so the team can get to work on a fix. We’ll do our best to keep you posted here in this topic as things progress.
Thanks for your patience in the meantime 🙂

MemberAs a further note, though generally we don’t advise downgrading (since it has the potential to re-introduce bugs that were solved in more recent releases) it does seem like reverting to the following versions of The Events Calendar and Community Events will solve this particular issue until we can deliver a substantive fix:
If you have problems accessing either of the above versions please just let me know.

ParticipantThanks for the confirmation, just wanted to make sure I wasn’t crazy. I found a way to comment out the two if statements for the time being. Eagerly await the official fix.
Thank you.

MemberHi Enno,
Sorry to hear that – and yes, downgrading may be the best course of action (unless you can live with the current situation until we deliver a fix, of course).

MemberHi @emazinglights,
I’m sorry for the inconvenience.
We’re aiming to deliver a fix as quickly as possible, but I can’t commit to a specific timeline. Rest assured we’ll drop a note into this topic as soon as we’ve got something further to report.
Thanks again for your patience while we work on this 🙂

ParticipantI know that there is no ETA on this fix, but right now I can’t downgrade either (I just bought the plugin, maybe that has something to do with it). It shows the following error when I download the older version;
503 ( Invalid Key ): Sorry, your access to this file has expired. Please contact Tribe PRO Support for assistance.Could you help me out? Cause it are exactly the features I need that don’t work right now 🙂

MemberHey there, good news! We just released a patch for this issue and it’s available right now in The Events Calendar 3.12.6. Please update and feel free to hit us back up if any other issues pop up.
Thanks for your support while we worked on this!
