ParticipantI use Event Tickets Plus Version 4.7.2 with WooCommerce for my weekend crafting events costing between $60-$350 depending on the ticket type. I want to allow attendees to make payments or at least a downpayment without completing the order|ticket. In the past, I created a separate ticket types for the attendee to choose (make downpayment, payment plan, pay full price, but that become a management nightmare for my capacity.
What I’m doing right now is adding the order|ticket manually through WooCommerce with Pending Payment status. I setup a payment plan via PayPal and send to attendee. I then record each payment manually in the order using the Add Fee option. Once I update it, send them an Email Invoice / Order Details each time to keep them up to date on the balance of the event fee.
I’m hoping there is a better way I have not discovered yet using your plugin.

KeymasterHi Debora,
Thanks for reaching out!
There is not currently a built-in way to accept partial payments on tickets, but since tickets are essentially WooCommerce simple products, they typically work pretty well with WooCommerce extensions. I would take a look at WooCommerce Deposits or this one from a third-party. However, you would need to test these out to make sure that they will work the way you need them to.
An area where these types of integrations are sometimes not seamless is the default ticket form on the events pages. You could customize this form, or you may instead want to use the full WooCommerce product page to sell tickets.
If this is a feature you would like to see added to Event Tickets Plus in the future, we’d love it if you could post the idea in our Feature Ideas Forum! We use it to gauge user interest in new features and help plan future development.
Please let me know if you have any questions!
Thanks,
Jennifer

ParticipantI’ll give a 3rd party a try. The only other option was to setup a completely new ticket in another event or post and then just manually made the adjustments later.

KeymasterGreat! I think the third party option will be easier once you get things set up the way you need…it can definitely save you some time and manual labor!
Since this has been marked “resolved”, I’ll go ahead and close it out, but you can open up a new thread anytime if you have any other questions.

KeymasterHey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
Thanks so much!
