    Your calendar is very popular and I am getting overwhelmed with adding people’s events. I would love to offer these capable and willing people with a role of some sort to manage their own events.
    1 – must they be added as a role in the Calendar or the WordPress site? (Doesn’t seem to work with WP role.)
    2 – How are they added – can’t find it in settings.

    It turns out the really simple way to do this is to use the Community Events add-on to The Events Calendar: https://theeventscalendar.com/shop/wordpress-community-events/ It comes with everything you need to allow you to allow and control user event submissions.
