I have read the support article here: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/using-one-license-live-dev-sites/ but I am using WPEngine and their staging url has the following format: sitename.staging.wpengine.com

Please provide a way to specify a staging URL to prevent the need from buying a second license to validate an update. This is extremely problematic, specially when a Ticket Sale is in production on a live site. Swapping the license from the live to the staging site would require turning off the ticket sales functionality of the live site.

Does TEC recommend purchasing a new license and then requesting a refund after sufficient testing on the staging site?

    Hi David

I would love to see that happen. I do know we have ticketed expanding our staging coverage for several leading hosts, but as of yet haven’t had a chance to implement this.

If you think that is something you would like as a feature I encourage you to visit our User Voice Page and either upvote an existing request or make a new request there.

You can suggest it it https://tribe.uservoice.com/forums/195723-feature-ideas/suggestions/17357218-add-staging-wpengine-com-to-allowed-dev-sites.

    Thanks
    Courtney 🙂

Hey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.

    Thanks so much!
    The Events Calendar Support Team
