Allow community event front end user to add their own tags

How can I allow a user of the community event front end to add their own tags? It seems the user can only select from the existing tag set, not add their own.

Thanks for using our plugins, I’m happy to help and provide some clarification!

Unfortunately, at this time, it’s not a built in option to allow front end submitters to create tags, but this change could possibly be made with some customization. I recommend checking out the following resources if you’d like to try making these changes yourself or to find someone to help out with this:
