Hi. WP and Google Calendar times are both set to UTC-7
Google can show a time, for example, Wed, April 19, 11:00am – 1:30pm, and on Events Calendar it shows April 18 @ 5:00 pm – April 19 @ 12:30 pm
Not only are the times way off, but most entries show as TWO days because the times are off so much
Googling this, it seems this is an EXTREMELY common issue. I don’t understand why the simple things in life (such as copy info from one place and put in another the same way) is so difficult…..
Importing 2 calendars
1. https://calendar.google.com/calendar/ical/chueyfus%40gmail.com/public/basic.ics
2. https://calendar.google.com/calendar/ical/parker.jordain%40gmail.com/public/basic.icsThanks
April 19, 2017 at 1:30 am #1271509KulinParticipantI have also cleared the db several times and imported again, individually and then together and getting same problems every time. This is embarrassing.
April 19, 2017 at 1:45 am #1271510KulinParticipantI spend less than 5 min testing another plugin and it works FLAWLESSLY. Same times as Google. No dupes….
Yet you guys have 2+ YEARS of people having the same issues with your calendar
Why?

April 20, 2017 at 10:21 pm #1272507CliffMemberHi, Kulin.
Sorry you’re experiencing this.
I show you have a license for Events Calendar PRO but not Event Aggregator (EA). However, it sounds like you’re trying to import iCal/Gcal URLs… please advise…
As far as EA goes, I tested importing from https://calendar.google.com/calendar/ical/chueyfus%40gmail.com/public/basic.ics and picked a single event to test with: Anschutz medical campus on April 26, 2017.
Here are the details of the calendar and this specific event:
https://gist.github.com/cliffordp/82f5d3a6f95e3c410f837fe84c4bbf13
Note that the calendar’s timezone is Denver (UTC-6 at this time due to DST) and the event is from:
DTSTART:20170426T160000Z (4pm UTC)
DTEND:20170426T200000Z (8pm UTC)This event imported accurately as 10am – 2pm Denver time: https://cl.ly/2W452i1F242r
Therefore, in this sample test using the latest versions of all our products (specifically EA in this case), I was unable to replicate the issue.
Please let me know if I can clear up anything else for you or if you have any follow-up questions on this topic.

April 22, 2017 at 8:15 am #1273029BarryMemberHi Kulin,
Cliff flagged this topic for my attention (I head up our support efforts here at Modern Tribe) and I wanted to take a moment to reply to you personally.
You are clearly very frustrated – I understand that – but neither our team nor our other users want to see a stream of profanities and threats here in the support forums. To that end, I have marked your reply as private and I’d ask that you refrain from similar language in the future.
It sounds like you are still using one of our legacy plugins – iCal Importer – and that is of course something you are completely free to do. There are a couple of important observations I’d make about that, however:
- You do not have a new or even an expired iCal Importer license key attached to your account (did you purchase it using a different login?)
- The copy of iCal Importer in use at new.chueyfus.com is version 4.2.4 which is not the final stable release of that plugin but an earlier version (and so will contain bugs that were fixed in our final release)
The goal of the support team is to help our customers – but we can’t do that without their cooperation. You posted this exchange in our Event Aggregator forum yet, from our perspective, it is only with your last reply that it has started to become clear that you are using a legacy plugin and not even the latest version at that.
Clearly legacy import doesn’t work on purpose so you force those to buy EA. Not gonna happen.
That is simply untrue.
While we certainly recommend that you and all users of iCal Importer switch to Event Aggregator (in fact, when that service became available, we granted a free license key to everyone who already had a valid and current iCal Importer license) we have not and would not deliberately jeopardize the functionality of iCal Importer as a means of forcing people to make the transition.
When all is said and done, we’re a team of reasonably minded people who believe in doing good work and supporting our customers. That doesn’t mean the software we release is 100% free of problems – of course there are bugs and that is true of almost any sizeable software project in existence – but when those surface we do the best we can to help.
In this case, you’ve come in here seeking help for an out-of-date version of a legacy product that – based on your account details – doesn’t even seem to be something you had a valid license key for. Perhaps there’s a good explanation for that or you have multiple accounts with us or something like that, but I think you can see why the scenario would be confusing to us.
If you want to reach out to me personally to discuss this further, you can and I’ll provide you with my email address so we can have that conversation. For the time being though I am going to remove your access to the support forums as we can’t accept further posts in a similar vein to your last reply.

May 14, 2017 at 9:35 am #1283674Support DroidKeymasterHey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
Thanks so much!
