ParticipantHi Support,
Any new updates on AJAX Add-To-Cart functionality using WooCommerce & Events Tickets Plus?
I see support threads from up to 5 years ago saying you guys were looking into this but so far still nothing implemented…
The most recent was from over a year ago.
There has clearly been a lot of interest in this function, what’s going on? It’s 2018 and users having to re-direct to the cart page after every ticket-add is nuts.
I’ve tried following the advice in all related threads, focussing mainly on this ( as you guys have linked to it in the past):
https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/add-to-cart-via-ajax-revisited/
Woocommerce has this functionality as standard now, as do a lot of other e-commerce ticketing systems.
Customers need to be able to continue shopping for tickets un-interrupted in order to maximise ticket sales. That’s a given.
Is there a 2018 relevant fix for this?
Cheers, Oli

KeymasterHi tradingbo,
Thanks for reaching out to us.
So far we didn’t manage to move forward on this one.
We have an internal ticket already for this and I added your voice to it. As an addition I pinged the devs if and when we could sneak this in. If you ping me in a couple of day I should be able to give you an update on how likely this will be developed.
Cheers,

ParticipantHi Andras,
Thanks, I definitely think it’s a feature worth developing.
That link contains the same info as the one I posted from 2015 but thank you anyway.Do you guys have working javascript/ajax ‘add-to-cart’ functionality on Tickets with other platforms?
If so could you possibly recommend a few? Thanks, Oli

KeymasterHi Oli,
Just wanted to make sure you don’t miss that snippet. 😉
No, we don’t have a working solution for that for any of the platforms.
As promised, I pinged the dev team and am waiting for a reply from them. I’ll get back to you when I have something.
One thing you could try is instead of using the event page to sell the tickets, you can use the WooCommerce product page for that, and look for an ajax-add-to-cart solution for WooCommerce. I’m pretty sure there is one, if it’s not built-in already.

KeymasterHey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
Thanks so much!
