ParticipantHi there,
I’m just following up on the following post, which was a development on the requests for the Ajax ‘Add to Cart’ button, to allow the user to stay on a page after adding to cart, without a redirect to the cart page. The biggest issue this is causing us (apart from the fact the client really hates the workflow of going to the cart each time a ticket is added) is that because we are selling other WooCommerce products on the same site, the behavior is inconsistent, as WooCommerce products are added to the cart whilst staying on page.
In the following thread, user ‘spotstudio’ talks about a workaround using the get_tickets_ids() method, plus the WooCommerce ‘Add to Cart’ code. I’d really appreciate it if someone could expand on how to do that, as I don’t really know where to start & time is running out for me!
I hope someone canhelp? Hopefully this feature is nearer being included as core?
Cheerio for now,
Mat

ParticipantMat,
Thanks for getting in touch! Unfortunately, since spotstudio didn’t share the specifics on how they were able to customize this, I’m not exactly sure of the method they used to implement this customization. It appears that they might have been using the WooCommerce Add to Cart shortcode, along with the get_ticket_ids() function. While we don’t currently have any plans to implement this functionality, I would definitely suggest submitting it as an idea on our UserVoice page if this is something you’d like to see in a future release. Our team periodically reviews the most popular ideas for possible inclusion in a future release of the plugin.
Hopefully that helps to answer your questions, but let me know if I can assist further. Thanks! 🙂
