After Update to 2.8.7, Events Erased from Front End & Admin

Wow, what a mess this update has created.

After installing and activating it, Tribe Events has completely disappeared from my site. No calendar or submission form (404 error) on the front end, no link to the Events admin on the back end. Just gone. And my site has slowed to a crawl.

To top it off, my dashboard messages keep showing that I need to update to Pro, and when I click the link to do so, the window that pops up shows that it’s already installed.

I’ve followed your conflict resolution procedures to no avail.

Forgive me if this comes off as a silly question, but do you have The Events Calendar (free version) installed and activated on your site?
