after update: COMMUNITY can not generate Event location

COMMUNITY can only select Event location from list but not generate Event location.

Hi Marian.

I tested Community Events to double-check and confirmed that Subscriber-level users can NOT create new Venues via the front-end form. However, Contributor-level users and higher CAN.

Subscribers CAN select from pre-existing Venues (ones added by an Administrator-level user, which are available to everyone via the front-end form).

If you’d like to edit the default capabilities (who can do what), you may choose to consider modifying the behavior via custom code or possibly via a plugin like User Role Editor (we cannot guarantee its compatibility but it generally considered a reliable plugin).

i don understand what the problem is, before update it was no problem for anonym users to generate Event location.

I will not change code. I buy a produce and always after update the Event Calendar i have big problems to run my business.

please update the problem

It is so painful to see how people are on my site (google analytics) and want inscribe event but they cannot. And they will not came back…..

I understand the frustration anytime there are bugs.

However, in your case, it sounds like you’re concerned about anonymous submissions, for which there are no bugs.

If you’re experiencing issues with anonymous submissions not able to create new Venues, please follow our testing for conflicts guide and see if that helps narrow down the cause of this.

Hi Cliff,

it is still impossible for anonymous submissions to create new Venues via the front-end form the same problem by organizer. They can only choose (Venues,organizer) from list.

Hi Marian. I again tested anonymous Community Event submissions and the form does allow new venues to be created.
