Advanced Minicalendar Widget not working properly

Hello,

I came up for creating a mini calendar showing up events of a custom category.
The standard behaviour of the mini calendar is, that it shows the current month – doesn’t matter if there is an event or not.

Then I found the advanced mini calendar widget (https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/fast-forward-list-widget-to-next-upcoming-event/) which will forward to the month where the next event occurs.

I installed the widget under “Plugins” and activated it.
Then I created a new “The Events Calendar”-Widget, removed the title, typed in a “3” for showing up only 3 events and choosed the right category.

But on my website all events will be shown together with the title (which I deleted).
Is it possible that the plugin doesn’t use the category?

P.S: There is no other widget called “Advanced Minicalendar” or something else…only “The Events Calendar”
