    Hi there,
    I have a large group of students that registered for an event. Most of them did not create an account when they did so. I now need to gather more data than initially expected.

    I had thought the best way to do that would be to have them go back and create accounts using the same email address as they ordered, thinking that their initial order would then be tied to their account and they could go ahead and fill in additional ticket info. That doesn’t seem to work as I created a new account with the same email address and it didn’t seem to recognize the initial order.

    What’s the best way for me to gather the additional information from the existing (non-account) orders?

    Thanks for reaching out again!

    Were these registrations made via RSVP or tickets?

    If there was no user attached to the initial order, you could require users log in before creating a ticket or RSVP (under Events Settings < Tickets) and then have your students re-register and create a username first.

    I know this isn’t an ideal scenario, but it will help to streamline the process for future registrations.

    Thanks for the response.
    In the end, we just created an online form with the additional info and emailed all attendees asking them to provide the additional data via the form.

    Not ideal, but is getting the job done.
