Additional Fields and ACF

Does Additional Fields work with Advanced Custom Fields? I ask because I need to use a repeater-type field in events.

Hi Kevin and thanks for reaching out!

I’m afraid that ACF and additional fields do not integrate perfectly with one another in the sense that they would not be displayed next to each other in the content publishing sections or store the data in the same places of the site database.

However, ACF does indeed integrate pretty nicely with The Events Calendar and you can certainly add custom fields–including repeater fields–to the editing screen. From there, you would only need to customize the calendar’s event template (single-event.php) to display those fields where you would like them. We have more on customizing template here in our Themer’s Guide.
