    Hi,

Is it possible to enter a pre-defined value into a URL additional field that can be placed in front of any entered URL?

I’m creating a site using a test domain and I’d like to use this URL field to link to some PDFs, the issue I have is that I’d like to avoid entering the domain at the start of the URL as this will change shortly.

    An example link would be:

    http://demo.testsite.com/download-277

I would like to enter the following into the URL field within the event creator:

    /download-277

I would like to be able to add the domain somewhere separately so I can change it when I move the site over.

    Does that make sense?

    Thanks

    Helen

    Hi,

Thanks for purchasing our plugins. I am not exactly sure what you are trying to do….

Are you creating an additional field and then you want to put a link in it to download something, but are moving sites so you do not want to include the domain?

It might work that way, there is nothing we can really offer to help out either way.

I think it could work, but really on doing a trial would confirm if it does.

Let me know if you have any follow up questions.

    Thanks

    Hi Brian,

That’s exactly what I’m trying to do.

Perhaps you could simply point me in the direction of where in the database/code the reference to the additional fields are?

    Thanks

    Helen

This file controls the Additional fields:

    events-calendar-pro\lib\tribe-ecp-custom-meta.class.php

Let me know if you have any other questions.

    Thanks
