Hi when i used a previous version of events calendar pro on my old website i could add users by creating a username for them and filling in their email address in a box. This would then send off automatically a confirmation link to them and they would then click on the link and could then add their own events. Has this become a separate plug in “the community plug in” which you pay for?

    Howdy vediclover,

You can still add new users to WP. If you want them to be able to add events that is certainly still possible, they will just need to be given the editor role on your website or a custom role with add/edit events permissions. To my knowledge this has never changed, though it is possible that behaved differently before I started with the plugin.

If you want other users to be able to add/edit events, like regular subscribers or even unregisteres users, that is what the Community Events plugin is for.

If you want to learn more about user roles, check this out: http://codex.wordpress.org/Roles_and_Capabilities

Please let me know if you have any questions. I am happy to help further, or clarify anything. Cheers!

Thanks Brook. I Had events calendar pro installed by someone else around 4 years ago and could not remember how it was done. Looks like the community events add on was installe and i have purchased it again to solve the issue.

You are welcome Andrew. Thanks for the update. I am happy you chose the right plugin in that case. Post back if you need anything else.
