Adding extra content to the event view page only

Hello

I need to have additional content before the events calendar .
So at the moment the following URL (http://development.fishtankcreative.com.au/cabrini/events/) is correct but the additional two columns of content also appear on every single event page, which I don’t want (
http://development.fishtankcreative.com.au/cabrini/event/christmas-in-july/)

How can I add this additional content only the main events page.

If you’re looking to have the content display above all of your main event views (calendar, list, etc.) but not on the other views such as the single event view, you could add the following snippet to your theme’s functions.php file to get what you’re looking for:
