Adding custom field to Filter Bar

I have bought ECP and Filter Bar for my association registry site where visitors can browse for associations and right now I’m in the process of adding an event calendar to this site. I have managed to extend the event post type using PODS to link it to the association organising the event and I can now show the association on the single event page and have it act as a link to that association’s page where it will show the events of the that specific association.

My next “challenge” is to add the “organising association” to the filter bar as an extra option. How can I do that?

Filter Bar allows your users to easily filter events based on category, locations, PRO’s Additional Fields, and more.

We do not currently offer support for adding your own custom fields to Filter Bar, but you could reference how PRO’s Additional Fields get added and possibly also reference https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/creating-custom-filters-for-filter-bar/
