ParticipantHi,
I am using Events Calendar Pro with Advanced custom fields and I was wondering if there is a way I can add some custom fields to event landing page. For example I would like to show an Image slider above month view which is controlled by the user. Or for example to create a field where they can write some text and that shows up above or below the calendar.
At the moment I am using a widget area and put the text in that but It’s quite limiting. Is there a nicer way to solve this issue? Thanks

ParticipantHey Milad!
You can definitely add custom fields (and design elements based on them) to various event templates, like the “the event landing page”, but it would unfortunately require custom coding 🙁
While we cannot help with literally writing custom code here, we do have some very detailed documentation that walks you through the process of code-level customizations with our front-end templates → https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/themers-guide/
I’d recommend checking that out and tinkering around – if you need more professional-quality help with this, you’d unfortunately have to hire someone to write custom code for you.
Thank you,

ParticipantThanks for your swift response George. I have already copied the views to my theme and edit them accordingly. I have added custom fields to both Events and Venues since they are post types. However for the month view I haven’t had much luck. Could you possibly point me to a more specific page or article within documentations. I’ve been reading for couple of hours now but simply don’t know where to look
Thanks

ParticipantHey Milad,
I know I already shared it, but the Themer’s Guide is really the best documentation we have on this → https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/themers-guide/
But I would also recommend this article, which describes some specific templates and should help even further → https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/template-overview/
Cheers,

ParticipantThis information is unfortunately the best I can share at this time 🙁 read those resources and start playing around with adding ACF fields to various src/views files in your plugin code for The Events Calendar.
Best of luck with your site!
George
