Matt
ParticipantHello,
I have a business license with only 1 domain being used that doesn’t expire till August of this year, leaving with 2 licenses not being used.
On the license page, I’m unable to add a new site url, and when I enter my key in the WP setting section, I’m getting the following error:
There is a new version of The Events Calendar PRO available but your license key is invalid. View what’s new with version 4.4.4. Visit the Events Calendar website to check your licenses.
Please help!

ParticipantHey Matt,
Thanks for reaching out. You cannot add licenses to sites from your http://theeventscalendar.com/license-keys page — license keys only show up there if they’re activated from within the wp-admin of a site on which you’re actually using the licensed product.
So that’s the main issue to focus on here, and I’m happy to try and work towards a resolution of those issues here.
- Can you share screenshots of the error that pops up in the wp-admin settings section when you try entering your license key? You’ve shared the error message itself here of course, which is helpful, but the screenshot will show more context which may help me diagnose the issues. You can do so by uploading the screenshots to this thread. If you have issues with that, you can upload to Imgur.com, Flickr.com, CloudUp.com, or any similar image-hosting site; then just share the links to those images here and I’ll take a look.
- Does this issue happen on only one website? Or does it happen on any website on which you try activating the license key?
Thanks!

ParticipantThanks George,
It’s happening on both the sites I want to add the key to. Here’s a ss.

ParticipantThanks for this, Matt! I checked the license key in the screenshot and this is actually an Event Tickets Plus license key, not an Events Calendar Pro license key.
You cannot use a license of one product for another, and so to solve this problem and use Events Calendar Pro on your site you would need to buy a separate license key for Events Calendar Pro
Please let me know if this helps and if there are any other issues or questions I can try to help with!

KeymasterHey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
Thanks so much!
