GuestHi,
I’m currently using WP-ecommerce and would like to know if there is a way with the tickets pluggin to simply have an add to cart button for each event. Currently WP-ecommce has this function and we use that for our DVD sales, so it would make sense that in our events page that we have a short description of each event and an add to cart button beside it instead of having to send them to the calender and search for the event we just described.
Hope this makes sense!

MemberHi Dillon,
All of our ticketing plugins – including WP E-Commerce Tickets – work by adding a form (containing the add to cart button) to the single event pages.
so it would make sense that in our events page that we have a short description of each event and an add to cart button beside it instead of having to send them to the calender and search for the event we just described.
I’m not completely clear on what you’re envisioning – but while the main upcoming events list itself does not contain an add to cart button (though they could simply click through to the actual event page) it would certainly be possible to offer add-to-cart facilities on any of our views by means of some fairly straightforward customization work 🙂
Does that answer your question?

GuestSorry for not being more clear. The problem is that I’m not wanting the user to find an event throught the calendar or the evnts list view. Since we have so many diffrent training seminars I would like to have it set up much like how I have this page HERE set up. I would like them to read the description and have an “add to cart” button in each of the events drop down menus.
You can see roughly how I would like it to function if you go to the “Ministry Security Confrence” tab and go to the bottom and select “Spokane, WA – May 11”. You will see an add to cart button that is a WP-ecommerce button, I would like a button like that but provided by the the events calendar ticket plugin.
Is this possible with any evnts calendar add-ons?
Thanks!

MemberHi Dillon,
That’s certainly possible!
For the avoidance of any doubt though I’d stress it won’t behave this way “out of the box”, so some theming know-how would be required to create a comparable layout (and to pull the events into a different template, if you don’t wish to use one of our existing views).
So, in short, yes – you can do this! It will need some development knowledge to execute on it, though 🙂

GuestAs I’m not a developer I would need help with the codeing. Is this something that that I can get help from The Events Calendar support team once I purchase this product or will I need to go out and hire a developer to get an add to cart button working for my website?
Thanks again!

MemberHi Dillon,
We’re always happy to point people in the right direction on our support forums – but unfortunately we can’t code custom solutions like this on your behalf. So, if you feel uncomfortable working with code, it could certainly be the case that you will need a designer/developer to provide a little extra assistance for this one.
Thanks again!
