ParticipantWe have activated the Event Tickets Plus and set up a ticket in anew event but the add to cart is not working.
When I click on add to cart, it takes me to the cart page which is empty.
The url for the event https://jeannenigro.com/event/unshaken-launch-celebration-teaching/
Please advise

ParticipantI see now the issue is related to ticket quantity. By default the amount of tickets is set to zero. When a person clicks add to cart without changing the amount of tickets to more then zero, they go to the cart page which is blank. How can this be fixed so the default quantity is 1?

ParticipantI’ve created a copy of the file to my theme using /themes/YOUR_THEME/tribe-events/wootickets/tickets.php and changed the default input value but it is not working. The default is still zero. I’m also not sure why we just paid $89 for something that is requiring me to create files and adjust code to make work.

ParticipantHi Everyone,
I have a similar yet different issue.
Specs:
WP 4.6.1
Woocommerce Plugin
Events Plus Plugin
Calendar Pro Plugin
Tickets Plus PluginProblem:
I have created 2 tickets for a workshop. I also created a page titled shopping cart. Yet when I add two tickets and press Add to Cart, it goes to the Shopping Cart page okay yet I don’t see the two items. I am missing the final configuration I need to do for Shopping Cart and Checkout. Please point me in the right direction for the tutorials on Shopping Cart and Tickets Plus and Checkout and Tickets Plus.https://pmpropel.com/event/jam-session-using-yes-mindset-lead-high-performing-team/

ParticipantHey Alika,
Would you mind opening a new thread for your question here? This ensures that we’re able to answer each person directly and fully through their questions and any differences there may be between the different issues.
Jeanne,
Would you mind sending a screenshot of the folder path to your active theme where you’ve gotten the file added? Also, are you using a parent/child theme structure that might have existing overrides for our templates?
I can appreciate your concern about “having to customize” to get the plugin working, however what you’re looking for here is a variation from how the plugin is intended to work. There shouldn’t be any customizations that you need to make to get the plugin working as intended, if there was, we would definitely consider that a bug and work to get it resolved quickly.
Thanks!

ParticipantWe are using a parent theme. We actually just updated our theme and I see the file path is gone. I’ve gone ahead and just updated files directly to adjust the starting quantity to 1 versus 0 to make this work but this is not an ideal solution. I’m wondering why all of our products in woocommerce have a minimum starting quantity of 1 by default where the event plus was showing 0.
I’ve also changed the text from “add to cart” to “register” for the call to action directly in the files since add to cart is not ideal terminology for an event. Again this is something I feel I should not have do via a change in my code to make work.
I’m still having an issue when adding a ticket to a page or post. The ticket row is going full width and too difficult to see or use. See here for example https://jeannenigro.com/unshaken-launch-celebration-teaching/
I’m assuming this will require even more code customization or css?

ParticipantHey Jeanne,
When using a theme that gets updated regularly, you should always set up a child theme so you can update the main theme without fear of losing any sort of customizations that you’ve made. That way, you can make these customizations to your child theme without worrying that updates to your Divi theme or our plugins overwriting these changes. This is the common and expected way to make these types of changes within WordPress.
For the form output, it normally would align within the center container. However, the current event paged driven by your theme doesn’t have a center column. However, you can use the class that is already added to the other elements on the page via the theme to center the content. To do this, you could add the “et_pb_row” class to the main form to do this https://cloudup.com/cES9Q7MW2F5.
Let me know if this helps.
Thanks!
