ParticipantWe have just updated WordPress, the Events Calendar, Events Calendar Pro and WooTickets and the option to add a ticket to the cart has disappeared on the front end. The calendar appears to be functioning OK and lists the events, process etc.
There is a message in the admin that says: “To begin using WooTickets, please install and activate the latest version of The Events Calendar.” However the Events Calendar is installed, active and updated to the latest version, 4.6.2
Here is the page on the staging site : https://www.stage.oxfordshireproject.co.uk/meeting/south-oxford-meeting-cumnor-2017-11-03/
And on live as a comparison: https://www.oxfordshireproject.co.uk/meeting/south-oxford-meeting-cumnor-2017-11-03/Versions:
Wordpress 4.8.3
Events Calendar 4.6.2
Events Calendar pro 4.4.18
Woo Tickets 3.12.1Any advice as to why this may be happening would be gratefully received.

KeymasterGood evening Luther and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!
Thank you for reaching out to us.
We are sorry to hear about the tickets not showing up on your event.
I would love to help you with this topic.Would it be possible to share a screenshot of the “Edit ticket” screen for that event ?
Typically, this tends to happen when there is a start sale date defined.
The tickets will simply not display until that start sale date is reached.Hang in there!

ParticipantHi Brendan,
Thanks for getting back to me. I have attached a screen shot of the ticket admin screen – no sale date is set. I’ve also attached a screen shot of the plugins installed and at the latest version.
Many thanks for your help,
Luther

KeymasterHi Luther,
Sorry, should have clarified what we need a screenshot of. I need the screenshot of the event edit screen. The area titled “Tickets” gives us details on the start and end dates. Second, the event referenced is in the past: https://www.oxfordshireproject.co.uk/meeting/south-oxford-meeting-cumnor-2017-11-03/ so it wouldn’t show a buy now button. However, when you initially submitted this it was not in the past so maybe nothing.
Hope that makes sense.
Thanks,

ParticipantHi Brendan,
I’ve attached a screenshot of the ticket edit screen showing an event for tomorrow. Here is a link to the page where the ticket should appear: https://www.stage.oxfordshireproject.co.uk/meeting/oxford-hinksey-meeting-2017-11-15/
I think it’s work mentioning again the error we are getting at the top of the admin page regarding WooTickets and the latest version of the events calendar (which is installed and active – see previous screenshot).
Many thanks,
Luther

KeymasterHi Luther,
I see. Lets try this the. I see you are using version 4.6.3. The latest version is 4.6.5. Can you update? If it doesn’t give you the option, you can go into your account and Go to My Account > Downloads and download a copy. Remove the old copy and install this new one.
Lets see how this goes.
Thanks,

ParticipantHi Brendan I’ve updated it but no change – any other ideas??
Cheers,

KeymasterHi Luther,
Sorry for the trouble here! That’s certainly bad messaging on our part and I’d be happy to help clarify things.
First off, we’re currently in the process of phasing out support for WooCommerce Tickets. The Events Calendar 4.0 has mostly dropped support for it, while we have transitioned all ticketing functionality to Event Tickets and Event Tickets Plus.
If you are using the latest version of The Events Calendar, then I would suggest deactivating WooCommerce Tickets and installing Event Tickets and Event Tickets Plus in it’s place. That will offer the same WooCommerce functionality you are looking for and ensure all the plugins are at their latest versions.
You also have the option of not installing The Events Calendar. Event Tickets and Event Tickets Plus integrate with The Events Calendar but can function without it. That gives you the ability to forgo The Events Calendar altogether if you’re just looking for the ability to create tickets and sell them on any page or post.
We have a detailed post on how to make the transition from WooCommerce Tickets to Event Tickets Plus that you may find helpful as well.
Does this help clear things up? Let me know if you have any other questions here about the move to Event Tickets and I’d be happy to help.
Thanks!

KeymasterHey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
Thanks so much!
