    Is there a way to add a mini calendar or event list to any page without using a widget?

    Hi,

    Thanks for using the Events Calendar.

    So we are working to release 3.9 (hopefully next week). It will include a shortcode to display the mini calendar.

    You will be able look up the shortcode in the change log or in our documentation.

    I think it is going to be:

    [tribe_mini_calendar]

    So once that is release let me know if that works for you.

    Thanks

    I tried adding the [tribe_mini_calendar] shortcode and it didn’t display a mini calendar. Any ideas? Also, will this shortcode display all of the upcoming events this month or will be able to specify the category of event like the sidebar widget.

    Hi,

    I have a couple ideas.

    Where did you add the shortcode? Is it a text widget? If so you may have to add this line to your theme’s function.php to get it to work:

    add_filter(‘widget_text’, ‘do_shortcode’);

    If it is another area please let me know.

    Also see item #2 on this page:

    https://theeventscalendar.com/the-events-calendarproadd-ons-3-9-things-to-be-aware-of/

    It shows you how to use categories with the shortcode.

    Let me know how that works out.

    Thanks
