I would like to update the Event Calendar / Pro Plugin on my “test” site for the http://www.azdancecoalition.org account, but in the “test” site. I’m still working on it. Was able to resolve the fatal error message I encountered in July. Someone helped set up a subfolder starting with the latest version of WordPress. Added the Lambada them and it’s WORKING!

Now I’m analyzing PLUGINS – hoping I won’t come across one of the old ones that may have caused problems.

Is there a way for me to be able to “install” your license key in the test site? Here’s your plugin message:

You have entered a license key for The Events Calendar PRO but the key is out of installs. Visit the Events Calendar website to to manage your installs, upgrade your license, or purchase a new one.

    The test site url is:
    http://test.azdancecoalition.org/2

    Hi @azdancecoalition,

Yes, it’s absolutely possible to add a license key to both your test and production sites. We have more information on setting that up here:

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/using-one-license-live-dev-sites/

As a side note, the license key is not needed for the plugins to function — they merely activate automatic updates for plugin releases. 🙂

Does this help answer your question? Please let me know.

    Cheers!

Hi Krystyna and thanks for following up!

In that case, you’ll need to move the license between sites, or choose to keep it on one site instead of the other. The other option, of course, is to purchase another license so that both have licenses.

I do want to emphasize the point I made earlier, though, that the license is not needed for the plugin to work. You can still use the calendar on the site even if the license key is not activated on one it.

    Cheers!

Hey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.

    Thanks so much!
