Add Event template displaying twice

I just installed the community events plugin and I found a really ugly problem with it.

When I visit the add community events page or the list community events page, I get the template showing up twice. The first template appears in page header and is basically unreadable because the font colours, which happen to be white, are borrowed from the header. If you scroll down far enough, the template is duplicated. The second template appears pretty much as I expected it to appear and seems to work properly.

I am using a child theme from the Genesis framework.

How do I suppress that first template?

Sorry for the issues you are having.

I also, use Genesis and have not run into this issue before.

I took a look at your site and it looks related to the widget area in the header.

What Widgets do you have there and does removing them help fix the issue?
