Just installed The Events Calendar Pro along with The Community Events add-on and am getting large amounts of unwanted space in the ADD form. The source has lots of excess <p> and <br> tags , including <p> around comments.

I’ve already copied the site to a staging server and changed the theme to a default one, and have the same results.

It seems to be conflict with the Raw HTML Pro plugin, which allows the protection of HTML and Javascript in the WP editor with [raw][/raw] shortcodes. It also allows for the disabling of automatic paragraph creation.

Oddly, it seems to be having the reverse behavior here in that it’s injecting all sorts of <p> and <br> tags into this page only.

Is this page doing something odd with WP content filters that might be causing a mis-interaction with Raw HTML Pro?

I’d installed it to address an issue elsewhere, so I’d rather not disable it.

Perhaps you can reach out to the developer to resolve the conflict.

    Thanks,
    Michael

    Howdy Michael,

Welcome to our support forums and thanks for reaching out to us. Sorry to hear about this conflict ๐Ÿ™

Have you tried reaching out to the Raw HTML PRO developer on this? Maybe he his aware of this issue?

I couldn’t find any past issues related to this conflict in our forums, nor any related bugs logged in our backlog. So this is probably the first time we hear about the conflict.

Can you please send over the URL where I can see this?

Please let me know about it,
    Best,
    Nico

    Thanks for checking.

Yes. The Raw HTML PRO developer got back to me with a patched version of the plugin this morning, and will be releasing it in its next version.
