Hi, I have the events calendar pro plugin, and I’m using it to display a footer of events. I also have subpages of each location, which has different events. I’m trying to find a way to filter specific events, depending on which page it’s on. I noticed that if I go to Appearance->customize on the admin page, I can “Add a filter” from there, but it’s not specific to the page. Is there a way to do this?

    Hey Steve,

Thanks for reaching out to us!

I’m not sure I’m following what you’re looking for with this one. Would you mind giving a little more information on this? Any links or screenshots that you could provide would helpful as well.

    Thanks!

I’m not completely sure either since I’m not very familiar with wordpress terminology. From the wordpress admin page, if I click customize, then go to the page I want to show events on, I see the picture attached. This is set up as a footer on my page. When I click “add a filter” I can do exactly what I want — filter events on this page. However, this seems like a global setting because when I go to a different page, the filter is already set. I want to have a different filter depending on the page. If you want me to paste code or need other examples, let me know,

    Hey Steve,

Ah! I see what you mean now.

The settings that you’re using there are associated with the widget that you’ve got added to your widget area. Unfortunately, these are global settings that apply to that instance of the widget.

You can get around this by registering more widget areas and conditionally displaying them in different areas of your site. You can try a plugin such as this for this approach. You’ll then be able to add that widget specifically where you would like and have custom settings for each of those instances.

Let me know if this helps.

    Thanks!
