Add category select input to the search bar

Hello,

I purchased the pro version of your great plugin. It is really great, has many functions and great possibility to overwrite views by theme hooks.

I am wondering if there is any possibility to add something to the search bar.

I would like to add there input which will allow to select category of the events.

Thanks for the kind words about the plugin! I’m glad you’ve found it useful and extensible.

As for your questions here, I’m curious: by “search bar”, do you just mean a search bar that’s in your theme? If so, then unfortunately, while what you’re asking about here is technically possible, it would require writing an extensive amount of custom code far beyond the scope of the support we can provide here in the forums.

Let me know exactly what you mean by “search bar”, and elaborate on your goals here as much as possible. Include screenshots if possible, even. We’ll help as much as we can!

Thank you for fast answer. Sorry for not so clear explanation. 🙂
By “search bar” I mean tribe-bar-form , which is pointed out on the screenshot.
There, beside those 3 inputs I would like to add a select input , which will allow to search events in selected category.

No worries! Thanks for clarifying what you’re looking for here.

Unfortunately, making the customization you’re describing here would require a lot of custom code, so much so that it’s a bit beyond the scope of the support we can provide here on the forums.
